TCM at the World’s Largest Meeting Place for CCS
International interest in TCM’s technology testing capabilities and advisory services remains strong, reflecting continued demand in the global carbon capture and storage market.
For the third consecutive year, Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM) had a strong presence at the Carbon Capture Technology World Expo in Hamburg, held from 20 to 22 October. The event is a leading international exhibition and conference showcasing the latest products, technologies and solutions driving the carbon capture industry forward.
TCM Managing Director Ismail Shah, Technology Manager Matthew Campbell, Business Development Manager Rouzbeh Jafari and CO2 Capture Expert Koteswara Rao Putta experienced strong interest from industry representatives keen to learn more about TCM’s work and its extensive experience in testing CO2 capture technologies. Over the three-day event, the TCM delegation held more than 30 meetings with stakeholders from across the industry.

Strong interest in testing expertise and CESAR1
Visitors from a range of industry sectors were particularly interested in how CO2 capture plants handle variations in impurities in flue gas from different industrial sources. TCM’s experience with the non-proprietary CESAR1 solvent also attracted considerable attention.
Some visitors represented companies with their own technology concepts, while others were looking for ways to take their first steps towards carbon capture.
“Many companies asked us to follow up after the event to continue the dialogue, and TCM’s business development team will now take this forward,” says Koteswara Rao Putta.
“We hope the meetings in Hamburg will lay the foundation for new partnerships and exciting CCS projects,” adds Matthew Campbell. “At TCM, we are ready to welcome new visitors, discuss their needs and explore opportunities for future collaboration.”
